I Could Have Blogged about That!

Do you ever see something while working outside and just know that it is worth a blog post but you're just too busy to run back for a camera?

I saw a reddish speckled caterpillar on a Viola plant today. If I'd gone inside for a camera I could have recorded it. Next time I was out there, he was nowhere to be seen. Did a bird see him? Did he crawl off to pupate?

I looked it up. If he makes it we'll have another Variegated Fritillary Euptoieta claudia bringing color to the garden.
