That's a nice civil war statue. Cobb County doesn't have any like that, that I can remember, like in a park, etc... However, there are 4 huge ones that are indoors at the southern Museam of Locomotive and Civil War History in Kennesaw. I'll have to post a pic of them soon.
This photo looks good with the flags and the grey skies.

Very interesting. Nice.
Being a true southern girl I love Confederate statues!
You really captured the wind blowing in those flags.
I have learned to delete on Mr. Linky so I got the other name off.
I love history - and this is a wonderful shot of the past and present!
I like this one. So much and so pretty
The gray sky compliments the statue and the flags are beautiful against it.
I like your Courthouse pictures also, it is a pretty building. I posted pictures of our courthouse not long ago if you would care to look at them.

Even with gray skies, the flag flies proudly!
Jean,
I bet the statue-guy is facing North. I think the statues are made to face their enemies.
You lose the bet on the old Confederate gentleman, Eddie. He's facing east, with his back to West Street.
Maybe he's watching to see if Sherman turns back southwest from Savannah.
He looks like he is preparing his sleeves for the big blow that is coming! Love the clouds and statue together there. My Sky Watch is here!
